What do you do when you have a sincere love of books and passion for literature, but being true to who you are prevents you from getting your dream job as a librarian? You be the change that you want to see and start your own book shop. This is the story of Sanai King. Founder of TattedLibrarian.
Sanai saw a need in our culture and decided to do her part to fulfill that need. She initially thought of this in 2016, but it was just a thought. That is until February 2020 when the possibility of a pandemic first started to spread across the nation. She started TattedLibrian as an indigenous, woman-owned online bookstore and vinyl record shop that is dedicated to melanated bibliophiles. TattedLibrarian premiers’ stories from us by us from artists all over the globe and music that moves the needed.
