The owner of Colour Me Bad Artistry, Demetrice Rollins will be hosting her first art exhibition, The Art of Perseverance, on the West Side of Chicago on Nov. 7th. Of the event, Rollins says:

“My goal is to use my talent or services to help anyone suffering with any mental illness. Giving that we are still going through a pandemic, I still try to achieve my goal by following proper safety protocol.”

During the event, there also will be a live painting session. Tickets to the event are available on Eventbrite . There is a maximum of 30 guests allowed.

EVENT HIGHLIGHT: The Greenhouse Effect: Making It Last Forever

If only making it last forever was as simple as singing a Keith Sweat song, but it’s not. That doesn’t mean relationships are impossible though and Mylira Green, LCSW, founder of M. Green Enterprises along with her husband and forever partner, Willie Green III are on a mission to change people’s views on relationships and marriage.

Mylira and Willie have both realized they have their own individual traumas that could impact their relationship, but instead of allowing these traumas to drive them a part, they actively have worked to heal themselves helping to bring them even closer. They are joined, for this panel discussion, by the Gholsons, a married couple who have been together for more than two decades as well as Queen Kaylin, a single mother who is pursuing love and King Mike, a divorced man who is now finding solstice in singleness.

And, as if this event wasn’t tempting enough, this event also is raising money for a cause. Twenty (20) percent of all proceeds will be used to sponsor a family participating in BRC’s Annual Toy Drive for children with incarcerated parents.
