Rock County Jumpstart has partnered up with Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) to host its first Black Business Week Expo, a virtual business expo from November 23-28 in Beloit, WI. On the final day of the event, to top it off, there will be an in-gathering event, that follows proper social distancing guidelines. The final in-person event will take place from 12PM to 5PM at the Krueger-Haskell Golf Course Club House.
The event will take advantage of holiday shopping for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Each business that participates gets 15 minutes to share about their business, their products, services and about themselves as a small business owner.
The final deadline to register is Nov. 6th. So far, over 29 vendors and 5 speakers have signed up. If you’re interested in registering, and you’re in WI, you can do so on the Rock County Jumpstart website.
Live streams of the event will be available on their Facebook Page. The live streams will take place each day from 5PM to 8PM and also will be recorded for later viewing.
Tennisha Loggins, owner of Snacks and Stuff Truck who will be participating in the virtual event said “I was totally excited when I heard about it and signed up to be a part of it. I was just totally excited that somebody was doing this and she was offering her services for free. Its beautiful to be a part of a lot of this growth.”
